Who We Are
Skeptis is a client portal platform built for service businesses. We help contractors, cleaners, designers, landscapers, and other service professionals manage projects, client approvals, and payments in one place. We're based in Portland, Oregon.

What Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways depending on how you interact with Skeptis.
Information you give us directly:When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, business name, and any other details you provide during onboarding. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your billing information — we never store your full card number on our servers.
Information collected automatically:When you use Skeptis, we collect basic usage data like which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and what actions you take inside the app. We also collect your IP address and device type. This helps us understand how people use the product and where we can improve it.
Information from your clients:When you invite a client to a project portal, we collect their name and email address so they can access the portal. That information belongs to your business relationship — we're just the platform facilitating it.
SMS and outreach:If you've received a text message from us, your phone number was sourced from publicly available business directories. We use SMS solely to introduce Skeptis to service business owners who may find it useful. Every message we send includes an opt-out option. If you reply STOP at any time, we remove you from all future outreach immediately and permanently.

Who We Share Information With
We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to run Skeptiss. These include:
Each of these providers has their own privacy practices and we only share the minimum information necessary for them to do their job. We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
If Skeptiss is ever acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If that happens, we'll notify you before your data is subject to any different privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
Your Rights and Choices
You have real control over your information.
Access and correction: You can view and update your account information at any time from your settings page.
Deletion: If you want us to delete your account and all associated data, email us at skeptissapp@gmail.com and we'll take care of it within 30 days.
Opt-out of SMS: Reply STOP to any text message from us and you will never receive another one. No questions asked.
Opt-out of email marketing: Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
California residents: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your data. We don't sell data, but if you want to exercise any of these rights, email us at skeptissapp@gmail.com
Data Security
We take security seriously. All data transmitted between your browser and Skeptiss is encrypted using HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We limit access to personal data to only the team members who need it to do their jobs.
No system is completely bulletproof, but we do everything reasonably within our power to protect your information. If a breach ever occurs that affects your data, we'll notify you promptly.
Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep it longer (such as billing records for tax purposes).
Children's Privacy
Skeptis is built for business owners and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover we've collected data from a minor, we'll delete it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or with a notice inside the app before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
